Mythology Meme >> [1/2] Mythological Objects: Mjöllnir
Mjollnir, Old Norse Mjöllnir, in Norse mythology, the hammer of the thunder god, Thor and the symbol of his power. Forged by dwarfs, the hammer never failed Thor; he used it as a weapon to crash down on the heads of giants and as an instrument to hallow people and things. Mjollnir was stolen by the giant Thrym, who asked as ransom the hand of the goddess Freyja. When Freyja refused to go to Thrym, Thor masqueraded as her and succeeded in grabbing the hammer, which had been brought out to consecrate him as Thrym’s bride. Thor then slaughtered Thrym and the other giants with the hammer.[x]
so im babysitting this girl right now and we’re watching tv and the satellite sort of cut out cause it was raining really hard
so i just said “thunder god if you give back our satellite i’ll give you ice cream”
a second later the thunder clapped again and our tv came back
the girl is forcing me to hold up my end of the deal so guess who’s making ice cream for the thunder god
Thor likes ice cream because the coldness reminds him of Loki
"Even heroes have the right to bleed."
Darcy can lift Mjolnir, because she is worthy.
